How We Began
Dave Masidonski and Joe Ortag founded Tel Design LLC in 1999 in response to the loss of personalized service in the telecommunications industry. Over the course of their careers, Dave and Joe saw the majority of small, locally owned telecommunication businesses devoured by large impersonal corporations. The lack of quality telecommunication services, prompted Dave and Joe to create a smaller, more personal company dedicated to quick and efficient solutions for companies of all sizes.
Dave Masidonski began his telecommunications career in the military; traveling the world installing Telecom systems. After the military, Dave settled in Ohio as an Iwatsu telephone system technician. He later moved to Arizona and joined the same national firm where Joe had been working for a number of years. They quickly became friends and before long decided to strike out on their own, establishing Tel Design LLC as an Iwatsu Voice Networks interconnect company. Dave has close to thirty years of experience with Iwatsu business phone systems.
Joe Ortag began his telecommunications career with a family-owned interconnect in Phoenix. Joe was trained on Siemens/Rolm and Iwatsu business telephone systems. Eventually the company was acquired by a larger national corporation. Dissatisfied with what he saw as declining quality of service, he partnered with Dave Masidonski to form Tel Design LLC. Joe has over twenty-five years experience installing and servicing Iwatsu business telephone systems.
What We Do
